Dear Curtis Parents,
Welcome to a new school year at Curtis! As most of you may know, the CPO supports collaborative programming with the annual direct appeal and we strive for 100% participation. We are asking for your support for this coming academic year.
The CPO funds important programs including cultural enrichment, the Messenger, student scholarships, end of year activities, technology, classroom curriculum aids for teachers, and special requests from the principal. These are always important additions to the school community, especially in this time of financial cut backs.
Over the last several years, the CPO has made significant strides towards implementing ActivBoard and laptop use in our classrooms. These tools have provided teachers the ability to revolutionize their classrooms and they are now well-integrated into the curriculum. In partnership with the District and the ECMS technology plan, we have completed installation of ActivBoards in the library and the 6th,7th, and 8th grade Math and Science classrooms. The CPO has purchased laptop carts as well. In the past, we supported the 7th grade science curriculum by purchasing turtle tracking devices to support a project that earned recognition by our state government! This is all through the generosity of the Curtis parent community.
Please support the CPO - your money goes directly to work for the students and the school, improving your child’s learning experience. We urge you to make your contribution today selecting a donation amount below. Donations are tax deductible. We encourage a $75 donation, but welcome any amount.
We thank you in advance and wish you and your families a healthy, productive year.
